Print Advertising.
Despite living in the digital age, print remains as important as ever.
Print remains a crucial aspect of successful marketing strategies. I understand the nuances for both copy and graphics to resonate with a print audience, resulting in memorable advertising that gets brand messaging across and drives further action once consumers are done reading.
Brand Awareness Ad
This series of single-page ads was for an apparel company seeking to stand out from competitors in this crowded sector. They wanted to refresh their brand and position themselves as being young, trendy and business-savvy; qualities that some of their competitors lacked. We accomplished this goal through a print ad campaign dubbed "The Right Fit," with each ad highlighting specific areas where this client excelled through direct, quippy language and sharp lifestyle imagery. We then closed each ad with their new company tagline that I wrote for them, reinforcing their brand identity and driving awareness among readers about how easy it is to order apparel through their company. I was delighted that the client was thrilled with their new brand strategy and they have since continued using their new tagline company-wide in their advertising.
Product Focus Ad
This two-page spread was for a sock company that wanted to promote its most long-standing and well-made sock styles in a creative and unexpected way. I worked with our design team and provided the copy for this ad based on the theme of branding for aged, artisanal whiskey. I wrote copy that illustrated how those time-honored, handcrafted details could be found in this client's sock selections and ensured the language complemented the rustic, distinguished visuals and typefaces. The client was very happy with the end result and appreciated the unique positioning of their products as they were ultimately able to get the attention of more readers.
Product Trends Ad
This two-page spread was for a promotional products supplier that was expanding its offerings to include new products like hair and pet accessories and pocket squares. I had the pleasure of working on this shoot for this ad (that's me in the scrunchie section!) as well as writing copy for it. Our goal was to showcase how each product is used and to explain why these trendy new additions are worth paying attention to and using as branded merchandise. The client was thrilled with the final layout and chose to further invest in this campaign by adding content marketing and email marketing components to their project as well.
